Seminar Information

Update 11/16/08

Thank you for entering the Bernhard Flinks seminar on  November 21,22,23  2008 in Lancaster, California. We are expecting a full seminar and if we have not received payment and a signed waiver please be aware that your spot is not secure. Weather: The weather forecast is for high 60's low 70's throughout the weekend and no rain at this time. However, the forecast could change before the weekend so be prepared for any type of weather. 
 
Meals: The club will provide a free continental breakfast for paid attendees and a buffet style lunch for a nominal fee. Lunch will consist of pulled pork, chili, a variety of salads and desserts and your choice of cold drinks. If the weather is cold we will try to have hot beverages available throughout the day. There are also a number of restaurants and fast food establishments on Ave I and J near Hwy 14.
 
Time: Our projected start time is 7 AM each day and ending at approximately 5 PM. Please check in under the shader when you arrive. Attendees may set up between 6:30 and 7 AM. Please park only in the designated parking areas.

Dogs: Unless otherwise directed all dogs must remain crated or secured in vehicles when not working or going out to relive themselves. No dogs will be allowed to "visit" or "socialize" in the covered seating areas unless invited to do so. All dogs must remain on leash while on the premises unless it is your time to work during the seminar. We have a designated dog potty area, please pick up after your dogs.

What to bring: We will have canopies set up for attendees by the field. If you would like shade for your vehicle please bring a canopy but remember we often get wind in the high desert so remember to stake them down. Please bring a copy of your dog's rabies certificate if we do not have one on file and training equipment necessary to work your dog during the seminar (ball, tug, collar, harness, long line, etc.).

Video Taping: Video taping is permitted for your own dog. Do not video tape another attendee's dog without express permission from that attendee.

70th St between Ave I and Ave J. From Hwy 14 take the I Ave exit, go West to 70th St West and turn left. Look for the only house on the East side of the street.
 
Bernhard frequently uses a ball on a rope for focus during his exercises, we will have a variety of sizes of Orbee Tuff Balls on a rope available for purchase at the seminar or see www.showandsport.com to pre-purchase items for delivery at the seminar.

 Obedience and protection will be covered all 3 days

 Working spots: $125 per day or $300 for all 3 days
Spectators : $50 per day
 

Limit: 20 working spots per day, unlimited spectator spots. 1 dog per handler per day.

Entries will be based on the first 20 working entries received, and a waiting list will be kept thereafter for working spots only. No refunds will be issued once entries are received. Closing date for entries is November 7, 2008. Entries must be received not postmarked by the closing date. Confirmation of receipt of entry will be sent via e-mail.

Entry includes a continental breakfast each day. Lunch will be available on site for a nominal fee.
