What a contrast from our December trial! We
had very windy conditions during obedience and protection but thank to
everyone's hard work pulled off another successful trial. We had an entry of 12
dog and handler teams with a 100% pass rate. Congratulations to all competitors
and thank you to those who helped out and supported the trial. Our entries
included: 4 BH, 1 TR2, 2 WH, 1 FH1, 3 SchH1, 1 SchHA and 1 SchH3.

We had beautiful weather for all three days of the trial, crisp and sunny with

this year all entries at a DHPK trial were HOT! Congratulations.

Der Hundesport Performance Klub hosted it’s Schutzhund trial today
with USA Judge Jim Elder. We had 5 BH’s, 2 WH’s, 1 TR1, 2 TR3’s, 4
SchH1 and 2 SchH2’s. A total of 16 entries. Tracking was plowed
dirt. All the dogs passed but 2. High Tracking with a perfect score
of 100pts. was Mike Stackhouse with his dog Saber. After Tracking we
went to our field and started with SchH obedience. High scoring
Obedience with a score of 92 pts. was Chris Kutelis with his dog
Devious. We then did all the BH’s and the WH’s. All of the BH’s
passed and one of the WH’s passed We then ended with Protection with
High Protection score going to Paula Fairchild with her dog Angel.
On another note both Paula’s dog Angel who made SchH2 and
Stephanie’s dog Ignito who made his BH were dogs that were rescued
from the Animal Shelter. Also All the dogs entered today were
Handler owner trained. Everyone should be proud of their
accomplishments and their dogs. A big congratulation to all the
competitors. We had several people from other clubs that came out,
SWDA, Somis, ANACAPA, it was nice to see members from other clubs
come out and watch the trial and support the competitors. I want to
thank everyone that was there and supported our trial. Thanks to
Nathaniel for lining up the tracking field. Thanks to Terry for
printing all the paperwork. Thanks to Bruce for handling the
gunfire. Thanks to Linda for allowing us the use of her training
field. Thanks to our Judge Jim. Thanks to our helpers Shannon
“Woody” O’briant and Bob Gager. Thanks to everyone else that helped
out with the group, set-up etc. Thanks to Dania for brining out lunch
and handling the Judges gifts.
